Alaska Book Week: Jennifer Bernard, Lizbeth Selvig & Wayne Mergler 10/12/2012

Alaska Book Week ends on the 13th, so this is my last shout-out to Alaskan authors. Hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have.

When I mentioned Jennifer Bernard in an earlier post, I neglected to say she has a novella coming out soon. The enovella One Fine Fireman will be available on November 13th. See her website at http://jenniferbernard.net/.

Lizbeth Selvig lives in Minnesota now, but she is still a member of the Alaska chapter of Romance Writers of America, so I’m counting her as Alaskan today. Her debut novel is The Rancher and the Rock Star. “A beautiful love story that pulls you in and won’t let you go…It is one of those stories that stays with you long after you read it!”says Savannah Miller from Edelweiss Reviews. Last but not least, Wayne Mergler’s The Last New Land is an anthology including prose and poetry about Alaska. Library Journal states, “Mergler, an Alaskan since l968 and a writer and teacher by profession, has blended his love for literature and his attachment to Alaska in one literary extravaganza. This exceptional anthology provides an exciting and comprehensive overview of the state and the scope and diversity of its literature.” Wayne contributes to Weekly Hubris at http://weeklyhubris.com/author/wmergler/.
