Events & Resources

I’m leading a “Nuts and Bolts for Newbies” session at the Writers and Illustrators Conference in Anchorage, Sept. 20-21. For more information, see https://www.alaskawritersguild.com/event-3453105.

I’m leading the online workshop “Writing YA/NA Historical Romance” for Yosemite Romance Writers August 5-30. Can you just throw Bella or Katniss into the nineteenth century to create a historical romance? This four-week workshop will provide the skills an author needs to write an historical romance with young characters. Learn more at

Teens in the Anchorage area, looking for a writing group? Join us at the Teen Writing Society.

Our teen writing club meets at the Anchorage Public Library’s Loussac branch twice a month. We’re adding a virtual critique group, also.

Schedule can vary due to holidays, etc. Check the library page at http://www.anchoragelibrary.org/events/events-for/teens/.
