Release Date Set!

It’s been a big week for me. I got back from a trip just in time to attend the writers conference sponsored by the Alaska Writers Guild and SCBWI-Alaska. I heard great speakers, hung out with fellow writers, and made a few new writing friends. And the best part is, Lisa Cron’s talk on what readers crave supplied just what I needed to hear at this stage in my writing. While the conference was going on, I got an email from my editor and we wrote back and forth a bit on where we are in the publishing process with Fools Gold. Good news: our release date is December 4! And I just got notes from my editor, so I’m starting on revisions to get Fools Gold ready for publication. I know it will take some time and maybe a few passes through to get everything done, but it’s also thrilling to have this chance to work with a professional editor and publisher.

So things are busy. But I couldn’t be happier. I love this writing life. Thanks for following along on my journey.
